Marc Brousse's inaugural exhibition at Husk Gallery, entitled "Architekto(s)cene(s)", proposes the advent of a new era, the "Architektocene", which succeeds the "Anthropocene". The Architektocene era would, for the first time, provide humans with the opportunity to view their environment through the prism of a global architectural footprint. Marc Brousse, trained as an architect, explores what he describes as the epigenetic concept in ancient and contemporary civilisations. His exhibition presents a new perspective on the architectural imprint through a series of drawings on paper and objects. In his meticulous drawings, Marc Brousse depicts scenes of architectural strata. These drawings, which form a link between scientific research and dreamlike expression, reveal the impact of humans and their creations on nature in a poetic manner.
