Husk Gallery is delighted to present 'Surveillance', the third solo show by Dirk Eelen in its gallery space. The Belgian artist presents two new series of oil paintings on social control mechanisms. With his keen powers of observation, Dirk Eelen once again turns his gaze to themes that are ubiquitous in our society. 'Surveillance' is an exhibition about the control of behaviour of individuals and groups in our society. In the series 'Tear Gas', he paints recent confrontations between governments and rebels in the public space. His second series "Surveillance" features paintings with alienating security camera images.
