In the current Covid19-confinement in Belgium, Katarina Varsikova held an online interview with Slovak artist Jan Valik, both living and working in Brussels. Husk Gallery is delighted to share this conversation which is translated from Slovak into English. It gives you insight into his current solo exhibition Verge at Husk Gallery and into the artist's mind and his current life in quarantaine. 

As part of its ongoing program, Husk Gallery supports artists with publications. This exhibition catalogue is published on the occasion of ‘Verge’, the first solo show of Jan Valik from March 8^th to May 2^nd, 2020 at the Brussels-based contemporary art gallery. 

The exhibition catalogue includes a text by prof. dr. em. Willy F. Vande Walle, Japanologist, sinologist and founder of the Japanese Studies section at the University of Leuven. 

The inaugural solo show of German artist Inge H. Schmidt has ended on October 26th, 2019 in the gallery. Among the many visitors, we were especially honoured by the visit of the German ambassador. If you should have missed the exhibition, we have good news as you can still enjoy a virtual tour!
